I have a passion for natural health, having worked in this area for the past decade.  I am a holistic practitioner who believes in treating the body as a whole – not compartmentalizing each area.  I draw from my experiences in the areas of Physiotherapy, Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine in order to provide a holistic, complementary and tailored combination of treatments for the individual.

I grew up with Chinese Medicine as my dad was a Chinese Medicine practitioner.  Instead of popping pills when I was sick, I took herbs and had acupuncture.  From a young age, I’ve seen first-hand the effectiveness and health benefits of using natural medicine.  It’s also very safe, having been tried and tested for over 2000 years in China and with no or minimal side-effects. This is what I’ve been using for myself as a practitioner and what I provide for my patients.

I am proud to say that I am now a third generation Chinese Medicine practitioner.  My dad still makes the occasional visit to the clinic to help out.  In addition to learning from my dad, I’ve also studied Chinese Medicine for 3 years at RMIT University in Melbourne, where I was able to do a one year clinical internship in Nanjing, China; working and learning at the Nanjing Hospital.
In order to expand and complement my skills to treat the whole body, I furthered my studies in Physiotherapy, culminating in a Masters degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland.

I believe in ongoing growth as a practitioner, so I undergo regular studies to continually further my skills.  One of the courses I’ve done is one on Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation (aka Cosmetic Acupuncture).  I chose to do this course because once again, it was a holistic approach to beauty.  I learnt not only to treat the outer skin issues (wrinkles, crows feet, etc), I also learnt how to treat the inner causes to enable outer beauty to manifest.  I studied the advanced course under Mary Elizabeth Wakefield who’s a beauty acupuncture guru to some of the Hollywood Stars.  The last course I did was an amazing course in Ear Acupuncture which I have incorporated successfully in the areas of Depression, Bi-Polar conditions & repressed emotional issues.

I am a gentle, caring and intuitive practitioner.  I seek to combine my experiences in these complementary therapies to provide holistic and effective care for my patients.  I am here to help, just ask.
